GOVERNOR ADELEKE CELEBRATES GENERAL ALANI AKINRINADE AT 86

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has warmly celebrated elder statesman and national leader, General Alani Akinrinade (rtd), on the occasion of his 86th birthday, describing him as “a patriot of the highest order, a military legend, and a shining example of statesmanship whose life is defined by service, sacrifice, and courage.”

In a congratulatory message signed and released by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke extolled General Akinrinade for his remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s unity, security, and democratic growth.

“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Osun State, I heartily celebrate General Alani Akinrinade as he clocks 86,” the governor said.

“Your journey reflects the nobility of a true patriot, one who placed Nigeria above personal interest, whose distinguished service in the Nigerian Army helped safeguard the nation in its darkest hours, and whose courage, integrity, and sense of duty remain a source of pride and inspiration. You have stood firmly on the side of truth and justice, and your voice continues to resonate across generations as a call for a better, stronger, and more united Nigeria.”

Governor Adeleke commended General Akinrinade’s humility and enduring leadership, noting that his legacy extends beyond the military into democracy building, public advocacy, and grassroots development, particularly in his home state of Osun.

“As you celebrate this special milestone, I pray for your continued good health, renewed strength, and divine grace. May your wisdom keep guiding our leaders, and may your legacy of service to the fatherland remain a compass for generations to come,” the governor concluded.
