OSOGBO– 16/01/2026 –osunstate.gov.ng

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the passing of the Iwo born business tycoon, Alhaji Safiriyu Ola-Aremu, as painful and devastating, commiserating with the people of Iwoland for the touching loss.

Governor Adeleke described the death of Alhaji S. Ola-Aremu as a monumental loss not only to his immediate family, but to Iwoland and Osun State at large.

The Governor noted that Alhaji Aremu was a pride of Iwo, whose life was defined by enterprise, diligence, philanthropy, and uncommon commitment to the socio-economic development of his community.

Governor Adeleke further stated that the vacuum created by the demise of Alhaji Aremu would be difficult to fill, noting that his legacy of hard work, selflessness, and service to humanity would continue to inspire present and future generations.

He prayed that Almighty Allah grants the departed eternal rest, forgives his shortcomings, and admits him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus, while also granting his family and the people of Iwo the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
