Good Governance: Sheikh Razak Aduagba Al-Adabya Praises Governor Adeleke

●Only Fake Muslims Vow to Rig Election- Sheikh Olorunlomerue

● Three Adeleke’s Actions Confirming His Faith — Political Adviser

OSOGBO – 01/03/2026

Governor Ademola Adeleke today received warm review of his administration from two leading Islamic clerics who summarised his performance as ‘excellent’ and his religious committment godly and every inch Islamic.

The performance rating of the governor took place at separate Ramadan lectures organised by Ede chapter and the Osogbo state headquarters of Nasfat Islamic organisation in the presence of hundreds of Islamic adherents.

While Sheikh Abdulahi Olorunlomerue said no real muslim would vow to rig an election, the Political Adviser to the governor, Hon Muniru Raji listed three actions of the Adeleke administration which confirmed that the governor is a true Muslim by action unlike other opposition politicians.

Sheikh Abdul Razak Aduagba Al-Adabiy who delivered lecture at the Osogbo headquarters told the audience that Governor Adeleke is an agent of good governance whose performance in office is receiving accolades from far and near.

The cleric who said the truth must be told for the nation to move forward directly addressed the governor: “Your good job speaks for you.

“The whole world is seeing how they are victimizing you; the people see how they are harassing you; we all know how they seized your LG money.

“Despite all the attacks on your government, you are delivering on all fronts. You are true leader of your people. What you are doing is what is called good governance.

“God will rescue you and grant you victory. Anywhere you go, your work confronts even those who hate you. Your work is your prayer. You will win again going by voice of the people which is also voice of God.

“It is easy to pray for a leader that is doing well. By praying for you, we are sharing from your good fortunes. You are a different type of governor. Election is coming, yet you are working day and night.

“Construction is ongoing even when you face so much challenges. Some leaders cannot walk the streets but you attend to people and event. You are satisfying the aspirations of your people”, the top cleric noted.

Also speaking at the Ede Nasfat lecture, Sheikh Olorunlomerue, the chairman of Olorunlomerue Islamic Foundation, said those threatening to rig Osun forthcoming elections are fake Muslims.

According to him, “those politicians who are fasting and still vowing to rig Osun elections are evil worshippers, adding that evil and good cannot cohabit

“You are fasting. You are going to Umrah. You read the Quran. Yet, you vow to rig the Osun election. You are not a muslim.

“You are not worshipping God. Your worship and fasting are in vain. God is not in support of violence, political corruption and bad governance.

“Stop your fasting. Stop reading Quran, stop going for Umrah because your actions are against God’s will”, the Islamic cleric noted.

Speaking further, the Sheikh said the re-election of Governor Adeleke is guaranteed by his performance and blessings of God, adding that “ No Governor has performed as Adeleke in recent Osun history.

“The Osun election is divine. The handlers of the election must be careful because this election is under God’s supervision. Adeleke has managed Osun well and his popularity cannot be denied”, the cleric stated.

Meanwhile, the political adviser to the governor and a veteran Islamic activist, Hon Muniru Raji described rhe governor as a true muslim in response to the religious card raised by the Osun APC governorship candidate.

“There is a difference between a believer and somebody who just mouthed being a muslim. Between Governor Adeleke and Bola Oyebamiji, we know a real muslim by their actions, not by their statements.

“They claimed to be real muslim but for 12 years in government, Osun has no permanent Hajj camp. Governor Adeleke is building one.

“They claimed to be real muslim, yet inside Government House, there is no mosque throughout their reign. Governor Adeleke is already building a mosque at the Government House

“For their years in office, they claimed to be real muslim but they did not constitute pilgrims welfare board. Governor Adeleke corrected the anomaly and a properly constituted board is taking good care of Osun pilgrims”, the special adviser posited.

The governor was accompanied to the two lectures by Yeye Modupe Adeleke – Sanni, Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, members of the State Executive Council and other top governmnent officials.

Mallam Olawale Rasheed,
Spokesperson to the State Governor.
