Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed sadness over the death of Adesoji Omosebi, Publisher of SOJ Worldwide Online News, a member of the Osun Online Publishers Association.
The Governor described his demise as a great loss to the media industry in Osun state adding that his contributions to the growth and development of the online media industry in Osun state cannot be over emphasized.
In a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor noted that the contributions of the late Publisher to the development of Osun State as a player in the fourth estate of the realm will never be forgotten.
“Today, we mourn the demise of Adesoji Omosebi, the Publisher of SOJ Worldwide Online News and a member of the Osun Online Publishers Association.
“His demise is a huge loss to the media industry in Osun state. His contributions to the growth and development of the online media sector as pioneer Chairman of OOPA will never be forgotten.
“His contributions to the development of Osun as a major player in the fourth estate of the realm will never be forgotten.
The governor further directed the State Health Insurance agency to study the possibility of enrolling journalists in the health Insurance scheme, describing them as important stakeholders in the society.
“May God Almighty comfort his family and grant them the fortitude to bear this great loss. SOJ will be missed greatly”, the Governor noted in a condolence message.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed sadness over the passing of the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Professor Abdulgafar Siyanbola Oyeweso, describing his death as a big loss.
Governor Adeleke who said he was deeply shaken by the news of the demise of the renowned historian, said Osun state and Nigeria has been denied the service of one of its best.
The Governor extends heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of Prof. Oyeweso, the Timi of Ede and the people of Ede, over this irreplaceable loss. He also condoles with the Management and the entire community of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), who lost a refined leadership of the institution.
“I am disheartened to learn about the unfortunate passing of Professor Abdulgafar Siyanbola Oyeweso, the Pro-Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). Professor Oyeweso was an erudite academia who dedicated most part of his life to shaping futures from the classrooms,” Governor Adeleke was quoted as saying in a condolences message.
“On behalf of the good people of Osun State, I convey my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the Timi of Ede and the people of Ede, the OAU community, mentees and everyone touched by this devastating loss.”
Governor Adeleke prays to Almighty Allah to repose his soul and grant his family, kin, associates and everyone touched by his passing the fortitude to bear the pain of the loss, adding that “it is my sincere hope that his good works in the time he spent here will not die with him.”

Following the break down of law and order last night till the early hours of today in Igbajo, Boluwaduro local government area, according to the intelligence report from the office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on security, Barr. Samuel Ojo, the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has, accordingly announced a total lockdown of the town with the imposition of a 24 hour curfew.
